Personally, Dr. Wickwire is deeply interested in literature, the arts, and the life of the mind. In addition to his scientific and applied endeavors, he is a past award recipient from the National Endowment of the Humanities, and he also spent two semesters studying literature at the University of Oxford, UK. His hard won insights into leadership, character, and personal responsibility were learned over two decades on the wrestling mats, as a former Academic All-American wrestler at NCAA Division I Boston College and successful high school wrestling coach. Today his greatest joys are spending time with his wife and son.
